He was born yesterday and they got to bring him home this afternoon.  We have been awaiting his arrival and boy was it worth it. He is perfect, so handsome, and easy going. Loved our quality time with him and his proud parents. Congratulations Blake and Christina we are so excited for your new journey with this bundle of joy. A year ago today I lost my best friend. One who always made me laugh, and never wanted me to cry. She loved the Lord with passion and encouraged all others to do the same. She knew how to light up a room and was never afraid to embarrass herself. She brought out the carefree child in everyone. We held hands through Junior High, danced through high school, spent endless nights of slumber parties, cried over break ups, rejoiced over graduations, and stood by each others side at our weddings. I cherish every memory we had together. My heart aches that I can't call her, hug her, hear her laugh, or look into her beautiful blue eyes. But I can love God like she did and share the beautiful legacy that she has left behind.  I choose to love, I choose to laugh, I choose to dance, and I choose to live to honor her. My Soul Mate Forever!

Heading North

On Sunday Aaron and I packed our bags for a trip to northern California. We were heading up to scope out Stanford Hospital's Cystic Fibrosis specialists for future care. We had some fun along the way, stopping to eat, shop, and visit with best friends. It was a fabulous get-a-way for us!

On our way we made a pit stop at Casa de Fruita for lunch (a favorite childhood stop of mine) I hadn't been there in years and it hasn't changed a bit. They have train rides, candy shops, and fruit galore! So fun to reminisce about fun memories spent with my family, and start new ones with Aaron.

Loved this rusty truck

Next stop was in Palo Alto where we visited the hospital, and then walked over to the mall to shop and get Sprinkles cupcakes of course

For dinner we headed into the city for a night out with three of our best friends!

Dinner at the 21st Amendment (it was winter in San Francisco) I was not prepared coming from the 100 degree weather in Fresno

Loving on my guy

We spent the night in the city and drove to San Jose on Monday morning to shop at Santana Row

We ate brunch at an adorable cafe. The weather was fabulous there.

Outside Hotel Valencia

We shopped and strolled around before eating dinner at El Jardin, a delicious mexican restaurant that was very festive.

Had to include some pictures I snapped of Aaron. While I shopped he did a lot of this...

and this.... thank goodness he can entertain himself

We finished the evening with a favorite of mine, Pinkberry. Then headed home.
Loved our quick vacation, and visiting Stanford Hospital. Looks like we'll be saying good bye to USC, but we are excited for the new opportunities ahead.

Bass Lake Escape

Last Friday to Saturday I spent same amazing time with some beautiful women. Each have played a special part in my life by loving, guiding, praying, sharing, crying, laughing, and encouraging me. They are all so gorgeous inside and out and blessed me so much last weekend. We went up to Bass Lake to spend some quality time together and catch up on each others lives. We have all had a very challenging year but are so thankful for God's grace and his perfect plan to guide us in times of loss. Thank you ladies for your shoulder to cry on and your laughter to warm my heart.

On Friday we all arrived at the cabin and chatted the afternoon away. Suzanne made us a delicious dinner and after we walked down to the lake for some ice cream. While down there we captured a few fun pictures right before we lost the sun. We spent the evening sharing stories and praying about our beautiful friend/daughter that we miss so deeply. On Saturday morning we ate breakfast and enjoyed time dipping our feet in the lake and having girl talk, before we headed back down the hill. Such a refreshing time together!

Gia & Alexa

Bunny ears from the birthday girl!

Her new monkey chair is a hit!

This one stole Aaron's hat. Can he be any cuter?

After Gia's party we met up with the Papi's for game night and the boys went for some girly drinks. We had to make fun of them!

The next night the Contino girls came over for a slumber party. We ate at Coney Island, then spent some birthday money at Target. we ended the evening with dessert, a show, and giggles. Can't get enough of them.

That is one FULL basket!

Off to church

On Sunday afternoon we had a BBQ with our life group. We are so blessed to share experiences, prayers, laughs, heart aches, God, and life with these amazing couples. Thank you Cori for opening your home to us.

...And lots of days by the pool
