9,490 Days

Yep that's 26 years! I am 26 years old today. To be honest I really liked age 25, and would like to stay that age for-ev-er! Oh well I guess it's time to embrace year Twenty-Six! Aaron and I are in Southern California living it up by the beach.
A full weekend of no schedules or plans! Yessssss!

Last year we were roller-skating here

Happy 30th Birthday Sarah

My girlfriend Sarah Richardson and I happen to share the same birthday, May 27th. But she is celebrating a big birthday this year. The big 3-0. We partied it up on Friday night at Bobby Salazars' eating delicious food, drinking margaritas, and chatting away, to commemorate her day. Happy Birthday Sarah it was a blast celebrating you!

Giada Rose

On Monday night my girlfriend Annie had her first baby Giada Rose Papi. On Tuesday at lunch time Aaron and I went to go meet her and visit with our sweet friends. We are so happy for Annie and Jason and their bundle of joy. I got to love on Giada all afternoon. She is such a little cutie and slept the whole time. We look forward to watching this little one grow!

Happy Mothers Day

On Sunday we had the pleasure of hosting our mama's and grandma for a Mothers Day BBQ party at our house. I was so excited to have everyone over and I wanted to spoil our mom's because they are amazing! My mom is the strongest, most hard working, beautiful, mother I know. And my grandma is just as loving and talented. She has been at every performance, game, and show for the past 26 years, she would never miss a thing! She thinks we can do no wrong, and spoils us like crazy! Aaron's mom is such a treasure also. I got very lucky in the mother-in-law department! She loves me like her own. So these ladies definitely deserved a party for the many years of loving sacrifice they've given us.  I dolled up the house and Aaron made some delicious BBQ'd food so they could relax and enjoy the company. We had a beautiful evening laughing and telling stories with my in-laws, grandparents, cousins, sister, and all the mama's!

Thank you mom for loving me so much and working hard to give us girls everything we needed and wanted. I am forever grateful for all your love and life lessons. I would never be where I am today if it wasn't for you being my #1 cheerleader for all these years. I love you so much! xoxo

Cinco de Mayo

Last Saturday Aaron and I celebrated Cinco de Mayo with my sister and her boyfriend. This is very exciting! My sister hasn't let too many boys stick around this long. Thank goodness we love him already! Welcome to our crazy family Joe. Thank you for embracing the stache fun! We had a little fiesta at Antonio's with some tacos, fajitas and margaritas!

Powder Room Makeover

Our bathroom make-over project started two weeks ago. Aaron called me in the evening on the way home from a poker night with the boys and asked what I was doing. I told him I was at Home Depot buying paint, I just couldn't stand the red bathroom any longer. He wasn't too pleased with my idea. So this project was definitely a labor of love especially since my husband claims "I sprang this on him" and "he wasn't prepared!" Oh dear! I told him he should know by now that when I get something in my head I just have to get started. So he jumped on board! In one weekend the painting was done, and this week I added the finishing touches, and  I'm so pleased with the results. This is our downstairs bathroom that is just a little powder room. So here you go, a little before and after action....

Yikes! We picked a true red for the walls (although it looks a little orange in the pictures) I thought this was a good idea at the time, but this bathroom is under the stairs with no window, therefore it looked like a red cave. Not so attractive!

Let the fun begin!
We primed and painted the walls all white. Then began taping them off to add some stripes! We continued the tape around all four walls and then added our gray paint.

As you enter the bathroom Here's the first view...
White shag rug from World Market

We kept all of our original lights, shelves, toilet roll, and towel holders, just gave them a face-lift with white spray paint. This chandelier was originally white. We spray painted it black two years ago when I first decorated and now we re-painted it white. (This is why my husband loves my projects)

My favorite piece is this love sign. I found the idea here and created my own off of the picture. Wood I bought for $.25 a piece at our local restore, and free handed the rest.

Towels from World Market, and starfish from Pottery Barn

As you round the corner (to do your business) this is the view...

Pottery Barn glass, starfish, and shells

And wash your hands here. Cozy little corner of our house that I know adore.

It makes me smile when I walk by now. Thanks for coming by!
